Pakistani-Americans or American-Pakistanis?
"Pakistan Zindabad" at the end of your article rings a bit hollow especially because you were busy gloating at the deaths of Pakistanis at the Marriott bombing. You are much like the "dhobi ka kutta, na ghar ka na ghat ka".
All your Pakistan hating is still not going to save you from the TSA danda that is your maqtoob :)

Although it doesn't apply to Faraz sahib, I also agree with guru "Most of the literary world is filled with "you scratch my back I scratch yours" types Gs."

Confessions of a Religious Fundamentalist
"Quick, choose whose side are you on; with US or THEM?"
Tahir, I enjoy watching you spar here. I relate to some of your worldview, I also relate to some of Cheema sahib's world view.
However, there is no US or THEM
For behind the labels of us and them, behind the angst and the fury, and the different positions etc, there is only one source, one Creator, the essence of love.
I'm with love ;)

A Little After Three
This was a very interesting and brisk read.
I like how you didn't dwell on the backstory much, but instead dived right into the action. The character is very trusting and naive, [re: homeless will help her], and one hopes that she doesn't come to any harm.
I like how she goes through the escape options available to her. Methodical.
Would love to read more.

I am not a sufi, nor do I play one on chowk. Although I confess that I had asked to do bayt to waliullah naqshbandi rehmatullah, but he rejected me 4 times (after three times, you've got to call it a day).
I was hoping to make sweets appear out of thin air (hopefully dark organic chocolate that I could then sell to Whole Foods), but it was not to be. Waliullah Naqshbandi is keeping all these secrets for himself.
So, I must, instead just listen to his sermons and imagine the awe-inspiring intelligence that must reside in his khopRda to write gems such as these:

masadi mian,
most peer reviewed scientific studies of differences in intelligence across the races have concluded that africans are less intelligent than other races. the fact that it is politically incorrect to say so doesn't change the science. the latest person to be vilified for pointing this out was the great dr. watson, nobel laureate and discoverer of DNA double helix.
and this is something which is easy to observe on a day to day basis. you cannot blame 'socio-economic' factors for everything. e.g. some races are physically superior to others and others are mentally superior...c'est la vie. "
