Benazir was right about one thing, you cannot let the terrorists win.

did she say this before or after her government backed the taliban to the hilt?

did she say this before or after she threatened to chop the indian kashmir governor to pieces?

seriously pakis..pureland has truly arrived..

Michael "Weiner" Savage cut short his vacation because of the bhutto whacking. said(and I'm paraphrasing) it was important to remind people that the people of pureland are, basically, knuckle dragging savages who support obl and need mushy and his military to keep them in check. democracy wasn't for allah's homies...

Huckabee: U.S. Should Monitor Pakistanis Coming Into Country

ABC News' Kevin Chupka reports: During a press conference Thursday night in West Des Moines, Iowa, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee suggested that after the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, the United States should, "have an immediate, very clear monitoring of our border, and particularly to make sure, if there's any unusual activity of Pakistanis coming into the country. We just need to be very very thorough in looking at every aspect of our own security internally."

madani sahab: I didn't kill her...islamic terrorist ideology killed her..islamic terrorist ideology she supported...

One of Benazir's most famous speeches was to a crowd in Muzarrafabad, Pak Kashmir.

She declared the campaign in Kashmir "Holy Jehad".
Whipping the crowd into a frenzy she screamed Jagmohan ko jag-jag mo-mo han-han kar do making chopping gestures with her hands.
(chop Jagmohan into pieces)
Jagmohan was then the Governor of Indian Kashmir.

wonder what benazir feels about that now? having second thoughts perhaps? rethinking her positions...she'll have plenty of time to do that 6 ft under..

Main suspects are warlords and security forces

Jeremy Page, South Asia Correspondent

The main suspects in the assassination are the foreign and Pakistani Islamist militants who saw Ms Bhutto as a Westernised heretic and an American stooge, and had repeatedly threatened to kill her.

But fingers will also be pointed at the Inter-Services Intelligence agency, (ISI) which has had close ties to the Islamists since the 1970s and has been used by successive Pakistani leaders to suppress political opposition. Ms Bhutto narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in October, when a suicide bomber struck at a rally in Karachi to welcome her back from exile.

Earlier that month two Pakistani militant warlords based in the country’s northwestern areas had threatened to kill her.

One was Baitullah Mehsud, a top militant commander fighting the Pakistani Army in South Waziristan, who has ties to al-Qaeda and the Afghan Taleban. The other was Haji Omar, the leader of the Pakistani Taleban, who is also from South Waziristan and fought with the Afghan Mujahidin against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Ms Bhutto said after the attack that she had received a letter, signed by someone claiming to be a friend of al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden, threatening to slaughter her like a goat. But she also accused Pakistani authorities of not providing her with sufficient security, and hinted that they may have been complicit in the Karachi attack.

She indicated that she had more to fear from unidentified members of a power structure that she described as allies of the “forces of militancy”.

Analysts say that President Musharraf is unlikely to have ordered her assassination, but that elements of the Army and intelligence service stood to lose money and power if she became prime minister. The ISI includes some Islamists who became radicalised while running the American-funded campaign against the Soviets in Afghanistan and were opposed to her on principle. Saudi Arabia is also thought to have frowned on Ms Bhutto as being too secular and Westernised and to have favoured Nawaz Sharif, another former Prime Minister.

creations of military dictators, by the military dictators and for the military dictators.

Would these be the same military dictators the people of pureland were dancing for in 99 when they overthrew Nawaz? Or would these be the dictators who the paki junta supported as long as the plan of using islamic jihad to bleed india and gain strategic depth in afghanistan seemed to be going well..

Blitzer Exclusive: Bhutto Blames Musharraf

Today on "The Situation Room," Wolf Blitzer revealed an exclusive e-mail he received from Benazir Bhutto's US spokesman Mark Siegel in October. "This is a story she wanted me to tell the world on her behalf if she were killed," Blitzer said, before reading the e-mail.

In the e-mail, Bhutto wrote that, if anything were to happen to her, "I wld [sic] hold Musharaf [sic] responsible. I have been made to feel insecure by his minions, and there is no way what is happening in terms of stopping me from taking private cars or using tinted windows or giving jammers or four police mobiles to cover all sides cld [sic] happen without him."

It's obvious people claiming to be experts on chowk don't know what they're talking about..

This is from the Washington Post. If the people in her car heard gunshots, it wasn't a sniper rifle. Also, unless they talked about her head being blown off, it wasn't a sniper.

Bhutto, 54, was leaving the rally in her bulletproof vehicle when she asked that the rooftop hatch be opened so she could bid supporters farewell, aides who were with her said. She leaned her head through the hatch, and several gunshots rang out, an aide seated next to her said. Just as Bhutto sank into her seat, a large bomb detonated outside the vehicle. The left side of Bhutto's face was badly bloodied, aides said, but it was not clear whether she'd been hit by bullets or shrapnel from the bombing. She lost consciousness, and never regained it.

the person who said it was a sniper clearly doesn't know what he's talking about..

Sardar Qamar Hayyat, a leader from Bhutto's party, said he was standing about 10 yard away from her vehicle at the time of the attack.

"She was inside the vehicle and was coming out from the gate after addressing the rally when some of the youths started chanting slogans in her favor. Then I saw a smiling Bhutto emerging from the vehicle's roof and responding to their slogans," he said.

"Then I saw a thin, young man jumping toward her vehicle from the back and opening fire. Moments later, I saw her speeding vehicle going away," he added.

A doctor on the team that treated her said she had a bullet in the back of the neck that damaged her spinal cord before exiting from the side of her head. Another bullet pierced the back of her shoulder and came out through her chest.

She was given open heart massage, but the main cause of death was damage to her spinal cord, he said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

In the words of fatima bhutto

Ms. Bhutto's repeated promises to end fundamentalism and terrorism in Pakistan strain credulity because, after all, the Taliban government that ran Afghanistan was recognized by Pakistan under her last government -- making Pakistan one of only three governments in the world to do so.
