That gentleness is Adharmic. It was the wrong influence of Boudha and Jaina on Hinduism. The school district which spends close to $10K per kid unfortunately has to fight with teachers union. When my wife was on the school board for 4 years she made sure that more money was spent on curriculum development. Whatever you try schools are jails for most of the kids.

One good thing about US is that schools act as community builder. With alien convent schools I guess schools do not perform this important function. It takes whole village to raise a child.
