Your English reminds me of Sohail Waraich, sorry! There's some major brushing up due.

Now that's a nursery rhyme! I bet you've already made it a compulsion in your schools, with all this Pakistan hatred all of a sudden, that could be the only possible cause.

Just concentrate on the meter a little more, you really don't have to be too fancy to 'affect' Raiya, break it down into stanzas and try a re-run.

Don't be discouraged, poetry shouldn't be influenced by what other people have to say.

I would have written it like;

Queuing at the bank I was,
Waiting on my monthly pay.
The Goata on a Crimson Gharara,
Danced before my eyes away.

Sara was in my arms awake,
Four years old soon to be.
Pleasant sound of crisp notes,
The clerk counted for me...

But then.. I'm accused of being too 'rhymy' and have been told to write nursery rhymes instead.. :p
Defeating the Taliban in Pakistan

It's simple!

The average Taliban is at least 6 inches taller than the average Indian soldier.
The average Taliban is at least 4 inches wider than the average Indian soldier.
The average Taliban is at least twice as smart as the average Indian soldier.
The average Taliban is at least 5 times more daring than the average Indian soldier.
The average Taliban is at least 8 shades fairer than the average Indian soldier.
The average Taliban has nothing to lose.

In light of the above stated facts, it will take 5 Indian soldiers for every one Pakistani soldier (If the entire Indian force of 1,500,000 is used up, only 42.85% of the Pakistani Army needs to be sent out) whereas the Talibans are at a 1:1 with the Pakistani army, which should require only 11,000 (est of 2008) but since they're the sort to hit and run like fatemollah, khadija-xx, meenug and now you, the rat hunt will take some time.

I think all Madressahs and mosques should be state owned and run, this will discourage the emergence of further sects, give the ministry command over what's being fed to the common man, will keep political filth out of the minds of the millions that are subjected to it.

I would also stress on the development of a system to eradicate minor systems within the system, which leads to fulfillment of political fancy of only a handful at the expense of the masses.

The Taliban are a group of mainly heart-broken, socially out casted, rejected people and victims of the system that joined the greener side since the Government was too busy with what is evident.

Nicely written but "Nabil & Fatima" was more captivating, a better way to put it would be, as a written story, it got you imagining the series of events like a movie does.

Cheers

Nice article. Some friendly advice; a little less detail would make this perfect. Thumbs up(for concept & imagination)!
Terrorists Have Bombed My Future by Killing My Children

I'm neither a politician, nor a Masadi. I don't cheer terrorists, irrespective of the side of the border they're 'operating' on. For a war between two governments on lost causes, death of any civilian is shameful, again, the side does not matter.

Bravery is a very voluminous term, wielding a Kalashnikov and slaughtering unarmed citizens or blowing one self up is still not a part of it.

As for Arjun's 'average Paki', if you're talking width, hair and bellies, maybe but head count, there's more of us than them.

I'm disgusted Cobra, thoroughly :)

As for Akbar, May his soul rest in eternal peace. What Cobra & Co. need to understand is, it's not the common man or woman sending out the 'La la la Allah hu Akbar *BANG*' brigade. Stop throwing the pity party, we're all equal victims of the same evil; politics.
