Killing the Helpers

United Nations is present in Afghanistan to HELP a war torn country. It has been giving aid, providing healthcare and delivering various other services for the benefit of the Afghans and yet despite all the good deeds, one act of an irresponsible pastor is enough to simply forget all this and inflict barbaric treatment to UN workers.
There is no Muslim religious, political or social figure to counter Jihad of Osama Bin Laden. Many observers now opine that the concept of Moderate Muslim is a myth.
The tragic plane crash on Margalla hills and the floods that took more than 1500 hundred lives so far distracted Pakistanis from a much bigger disaster that is looming.

Is our media acting responsibly? It was established, purely based on hearsay, that a treaty will allow India and Afghanistan to do bilateral trade. This would be through land, air and sea and Pakistan is allowing this unilaterally on American pressure.
As Afghans who deeply care about the future of our motherland, we demand President Hamid Karzai and the international actors involved in Afghanistan invite competent women to be part of making decisions that affect the country’s future.

Pakistani analysts are attaching too much hope to US cold shouldering India. The US itself has limited leverage and influence in Afghanistan.
