27 Dresses

Watched this recently in Dubai..stars the beautiful doc from television..for the life of me i can't remember her name or the name of the medical drama that's got everyone hooked..aarghh, what's the name? It stars the guy everyone calls McDreamy..anyway, so this movie is about a woman who is obsessed with weddings..she has been to 26 weddings so far and has kept the dresses from all 26 weddings..she is madly in love with her boss, who doesn't know that she exists..he falls for her sister who is beautiful and sexy, everything our girl is not. The sister and boss decide to get married and our girl's life comes crashing around her..since she's sooo good at planning and attending weddings, she has to plan one for her sister..in between, a hot (really hot!)journalist who notices her presence in weddings and who, incidentally, covers the wedding circuit, decides to write about her. Of course somewhere down the line they end up having sex in a car and the next morning the story gets published in which she comes across as a loser who is always the bridesmaid, never the bride. She is heartbroken. Meanwhile, the sister has told many lies to the boss/fiance which our girl exposes because she has been submissive and relenting all her life, so she finally takes a stand and does an expose on her sister. The wedding gets called off. The hottie journalist confesses to his love for our girl (still can't remember the damn name!) and finally they have a beautiful beach wedding.

A cheesy movie which doesn't require much thinking. It;s hard to feel sorry for our girl as she is a little too weak and pathetic but all's well that ends well, right?
