Laila Abedi

I am graduate student, and like to write on many different topics, but one of my favorite issues to write on in my free time is one that is nearly universal among progressive south asian muslim women growing up in the US- the conflict between trying to maintain one’s individuality and at the same time, remaining part of a larger community that promotes traditionalism and conformity.
