I'm Analytical Scientist and Spectroscopist with specialisation in Discovery & Development of novel Pharmaceuticals.
Currently working as Senior Analytical Scientist with ChemSolve Consultancy.

I also hold Research Fellowship at The Muslim Institute (London) with specific interest in South Asia, Human Rights and Global Ethics.
My brother (Mirza Tahir Hussain was to be hanged in Pakistan 2006 but his hanging was deferred after international outrage) and I have been campaigning for moratorium on death penalty in Pakistan & world-wide. We along with NGO’s and EU helped to lobby for UN resolution that successfully passed last December. I have lobbied diplomats & made personal presentations to several world leaders, senior government functionaries and parliamentarians.

Have also made contributions to the debate on this topic in both broadcast and print media CNN, BBC, ITV, DM Digital, Islam Channel, The Times (London), The Dawn & Yorkshire Post.
