Do I have everything on me? The usual morning ritual was coming to a close, it was time to go to work…laptop, cell phone, smokes, rolling paper, hashish, glasses…am I missing anything?

Was I not in a position to pray? Would I be committing another big sin by responding to the call whilst being intoxicated? I didn’t have the answers. I still don’t. but that’s not reason enough … to not respond.

The doggie wasn’t looking up or down. He was walking two steps behind his master, and smelling shoe after shoe after shoe. Beads of cold sweat appeared on my forehead and trickled down my face. I was transfixed. Anything could happen.
