Babar Hashmi

Babar Hashmi was born in Karachi, Pakistan on 17th August, 1981. He spent the first five years of his life in Egypt, Alexandria, before moving over to Muscat, Oman. In Oman he was enrolled at the prestigious American-British-Academy, a privately run international school. After completing his International Baccalaureate Diploma, he moved over to Virginia, and has been at James Madison University (JMU) ever since. Having debated, researched and spoken at various podiums across America, Babar Hashmi enjoys his academic experiences at JMU. His penchant for writing is a result of his lifelong desire to express his inner-thoughts, ideas and feelings into a tangibly understandable format.



Babar has made it a personal mission to clear misconceptions and bridge the widening gap between the rest of the world and America. His travels have taken him all over the world; from UK, Netherlands, Ireland, France and Switzerland to UAE, Saudi, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Currently, he is majoring in Management Sciences and plans to work in an area where his globally-enriching experiences are put to good use. He finds JMU as the perfect launching pad to catapult his lifelong dreams into reality. Babar aspires to settle down with an illustrious career at the United Nations in an earnest bid to improve the plight of the less fortunate around the world.
